Anchoring for H.O.P.E Foundation Inc. through R.I.S.E educational courses and activities will provide qualified candidates with the opportunity to explore diverse types of learning options and experiences needed to acquire the fundamental work skills necessary for successful employment and retainments such as time management, social and social media skills, and basic technical skills. R.I.S.E course offerings will provide potential employees with modernized and aligned course study and training to meet the basic demands of companies, institutions, and/or organizations. The following course offerings below have been carefully considered to promote a positive social, emotional, and culturally responsive work environment for prospective employees.
Many companies typically encourage and/or require a more defined and professional dress code to maintain a professional image of themselves and the business, where employees routinely interact on a daily basis with prospects, clients and business partners. The major reason why dressing in proper business attire is important for every organization is because it presents a visual image and sends a message that the employees are professionals in their trade. This course will emphasize the importance of dressing for success, discuss appropriate workplace attires, and proper ideological grooming for the workplace.

With effective time management, employees can take control of their time and get on top of their to-do list. Qualified candidates will dive right into the core skills of time management such as prioritization, scheduling, and focus. They will also explore the historical theories and approaches to time management to understand what’s right for them. Plus, we will help our potential candidates navigate through their own personal common time management challenges such as lateness, dead time, interruptions, and distractions.
Basic Social and Social Media Skills
This course will educate potential employees on how to apply effective social and social media skills in their respective places of employment. Social skills are learned behaviors that get positive or negative responses from others in the workplace. Some of the basic social skills that will be discussed in this course are effective ways of listening, speaking, writing, body languages, dealing with conflict, and getting along with others in the workplace. This basic social skills will enable potential candidates to learn and practice appropriate social and media code of conduct in their workplace.
Fundamental Technical Skills
Learning how to type properly is very important because most work is done digitally. Knowing how to utilize basic formatting such as bold, italics, and underlining effectively could improve an employee’s productivity in the workplace.
This course will provide potential candidates with the opportunity to learn and practice some of the most basic technical skills such as keyboard shortcuts, word processing, spreadsheeting, emailing, internet exploring etc. This course will also allow our potential candidates to be a highly effective digital citizen in their workplace.
